It’s a summer solstice

Today is the summer solstice. It is a big seasonal milestone day four times a year.
Please read this blog on seasonal milestones.

The summer solstice is the longest day with the sun out in the northern hemisphere (the shortest day in the Southern Hemisphere). The length of day becomes longer from the day of the vernal equinox, the day of that vertex is today. Yin and yang theory, the state where the positive energy becomes Max. And from the summer solstice point, the shade energy becomes stronger towards the winter solstice next time. By the way, that moment of summer solstice this year is 7:07 pm in Japan!

Breathing in, breathing in, breathing in, breathing in, breathing in and breathing in… you can not breathing in any more! The moment of being the summer solstice point (I thought, the image method to be likened by breathing). And back from here, we will head towards winter, after 7:07 pm today it is the beginning of the “breathing out” season.

As Japan is overlapping with the rainy season, we can not see the sun’s face quite easily, but the countries which looking forward to this day and celebrating glamorous times are European countries. Especially for the Nordic countries this day is an important festival day. Because for these countries, warm, bright and short Summer is a very valuable time to enjoy the sunshine as much as they want against cold, dark and long Winter.

I have visited Sweden in summer several times, people really enjoying Summer. Even though I thought it was a bit chilly for me, I often saw people who were with thin clothes, a sunbathing, a swimming in the sea and a river. And there was also a celebration of the summer festival with a friend’s summer house (like a villa), local people gather in the park, dancing, singing songs, drinking alcohol Eat delicious rice … It was a lovely day celebrating relaxing summer day in nature.

What surprised me most was that it was still light even though it was around 11 o’clock in the evening. Truly Scandinavian! Although I was listening to the story, when I actually experienced it I felt somewhat strange. Going further north is bright all day. Then, the southern hemisphere is reverse and the time the sun is out is the shortest (I have never been to the southern hemisphere). I am excited just by imagining that the earth is wide and has various facial expressions depending on the place.

How to spend the day of the summer solstice is to take a bath slowly and look back on the past six months you have spent since the winter solstice. And since we will head to winter solstice again from tonight, it would be nice to be such a switchover day that ready for preparation.
