Resonance

Last time was about Munktell’s “Breaking waves” related to a concert “Sakari Oramo Commanded Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra Special Performance” at Suntory Hall in Tokyo last month.

Today is about the concert experience.

This concert was a special concert for three consecutive days, consistent with the 150th anniversary event of establishing diplomatic relations in Japan and Sweden. I went the first day of the concert which was collaborated with a pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii, and the program was Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 5 “Emperor”.

Mr. Tsujii’s technique to play the piano is a masterpiece, his technique that I can not imagine playing with 10 fingers. I like seeing the hands of people who produce something, and the pianist is still great! Especially, I do not get tired of watching music that are tempo fast and require more technique.

First of all I saw Mr. Tsujii’s skill, the next is Ms. Tsujii’s play style. His style to play is he moves his body greatly with a smile, and shaking the body and playing the piano, the appearance seems to be very fun! It seems he LOVES music and LOVES to play piano. I can see he is having fun from bottom of his heart. The appearance of being integrated with music is divine. Just immersive person!

I want to be a sound (Glenn Gould)
Beethoven Symphony No. 5 (Maki Morishita)

The time when the performance of the orchestra (the impression of an elegant and transparent) and Mr. Tsujii played a wonderful harmony by the conductor was exquisite. When I saw a person who was immersed, I was listening while becoming a mysterious feeling like I was taking to the world, and I came up with the word “Resonance” while I was listening.

The sound was born when everyone in the same room echoes. Conductor, Mr. Tsujii, everyone in the orchestra, and our audience. In addition, the composer (Beethoven), a musical instruments craftsman, a piano tuner, a hall architect and people who built it, all the people who planned the concert of this day and engaged in the concert… Imagining from the scenery spreading in front of me to the stories behind it, it seemed like a miracle and I thought about tasting a momentary moment.

It is somewhat pleasing to think that the person who plays, the person who receives the performance, the person who creates the space resonate in their respective roles and experience is experienced.

The experience of listening to music is easy to understand, but in fact it is always the one that echoes in miracles every moment. I thought that I would like to spend every day carefully when I think so.

I thought about the resonance at this concert, how do you feel?
Moreover, I think that it is a pleasant experience to try and taste the feeling of the spot a little consciously!
